Memorial Day 2013/Soundgarden/River City Rock Fest

Memorial Day weekend was bittersweet. . .I got to rock my face off all weekend, but I spent a lot of time thinking about those who lost their lives during the multiple deployments we were on.  I pray often that their families find peace and that those still fighting make it home safely.

Austin Music Hall bites!!!  I did get the pleasure of seeing my favorite band ever, but I could barely see half the stage from where I was standing.  Soundgarden even played “Hands All Over”!  I almost threw someone from the second tier because I was so amped!  I got two hours of rock and went home happy as ever. . .well until I got to see Alice in Chains at the River City Rock Fest.  Alice in Chains= Class Act!!!  AIC is my second favorite band ever and they came with it!  William Duvall has done an amazing job as the AIC frontman (Layne RIP).  Jerry Cantrell hasn’t missed a step in all this time!  They pretty much sucked up the rest of my energy with the help of Halestorm, Bullet For My Valentine, Skillet, All that Remains, Clutch, etc.

As far as the comic, I’m still working on pencils and various covers for Issue 4. . .not sure with what I want to go with.  I can be very indecisive at times.  We’re also working on some new group shots, which I expect to release soon.
